How does a SIP calculator work?
A Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) lets you invest a fixed amount regularly. This tool estimates future value using monthly compounding, your contribution and your chosen return assumption.
P = monthly investment · i = annual rate ÷ 12 · n = number of months. Formula shown for month-start SIP. At 0% return, future value equals total contributions.

How is SIP maturity value calculated?
The calculator compounds each monthly contribution at the annual rate divided by 12. By default, contributions happen at the beginning of each month. Change contribution timing in the calculator to use end-of-month deposits.
Are SIP returns guaranteed?
No. Actual returns depend on market performance and may be lower or higher than your estimate. A fixed return is a modelling assumption, not a promise.
What is a step-up SIP?
A step-up SIP increases the monthly contribution once every 12 months by your chosen percentage. This calculator applies the first increase at the start of year two.
How does inflation adjustment work?
The purchasing power estimate divides the final corpus by (1 + annual inflation rate) raised to the investment period. It expresses the projected value in today’s rupees.
Does this calculator include tax and fees?
No. Taxes, expense ratios as separate deductions, exit loads and other charges are excluded. Enter a return assumption appropriate to the investment you are modelling.
