Step-up SIP: increasing your contribution each year

A step-up SIP increases your monthly contribution periodically. In this calculator, the increase happens annually, after each completed 12-month period.

A simple example

If your initial monthly contribution is ₹10,000 and your annual step-up is 10%, the second year uses ₹11,000 per month and the third uses ₹12,100 per month. The increase compounds, so check that later contributions remain affordable.

Why the final value changes

A larger final corpus comes partly from contributing more money. Compare both total invested and estimated returns when assessing a step-up plan. Do not attribute the entire difference to investment performance.

How we calculate it

The calculator simulates each monthly contribution and compounds the balance monthly. It multiplies the contribution by (1 + step-up percentage) at the start of each new investment year.

Keep the plan realistic

Income may not increase at a steady rate. Test smaller step-ups, longer periods and lower returns. The projection excludes taxes and fees and does not guarantee an outcome.
